Our approach to decorating your home

We've built our reputation on a simple principle: doing the job right. Our process is transparent and thorough, focused on protecting your home and delivering a high-quality finish that lasts. Here’s a look at what happens behind the scenes to make your project a success.

Your project starts with a plan

A great project always begins with a great conversation. You'll start by answering a few simple questions about your home and sending us some photos. Our Eastbourne based team will take a look at everything, making sure the work we've quoted is exactly what's needed to bring your vision to life.

It's all in the prep

Our comprehensive prep work ensures a beautiful finish that lasts for years. We protect your home by covering all furniture and floors. Next, we fill and sand all imperfections for a perfectly smooth surface. We then apply the right primers to guarantee a uniform colour and prevent your paint from peeling.

The difference is in the details

Our experienced decorators use their skills to deliver a stunning finish, every time. With paint, it’s all about the details—we use fine brushes for perfectly sharp edges and premium rollers to get a rich, even coat that will last. For wallpaper, we treat it like an art form, carefully matching patterns and handling intricate spots so you get a beautiful, seamless surface.

Frequently asked questions

How long will my job take?

There are lots of factors that go into how long it takes to complete a job. As an example, a medium sized room can take between 2 - 4 days depending on the work required.

Can I supply my own paint?

Yes you can. All we ask is that you have the right amount of paint to complete the job and that the paint is on-site ahead of your start date. If you need help working out how much paint you need please get in touch.

How do I choose the colour if you supply the paint?

If you already have a colour in mind you can simply tell us what you would like. If not, we can bring along a colour chart for you to pick from at the start of the job.

Do you quote for multiple rooms?

Absolutely. You can get a quote for up to 3 rooms using our online tool. Simply answer all questons for your first room and then repeat the process for any additional rooms. We're working hard to offer a quote for more than 3 rooms.

When do I pay for the job?

You only pay once we've confirmed a start date with you. At this point we request a refundable 15% deposit to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be cleared 24 hours prior to the project going ahead.

Can I change my date after I've confirmed it?

Yes you can. Providing that your request to change your start date is given with more than 48 hours notice then we can change your date without a fee. As our decorators plan their schedule around your job there might be a late change fee if less than 48 hours notice is given. We always try and avoid this however.

How do you vet your decorators?

All our decorators go through an on-boarding programme to vet their skills, experience and insurance. We also review all their work to ensure it meets the high standards we expect at Cut & Roll. We only allow the best of the best on the platform.

Is the quote final?

The quote is representative for the works required based on the answers you have given us. Providing the answers you have given remain correct then the price you see will be the price you pay. From time-to-time there can be instances where additional unforseen costs are required e.g. asbestos removal or lead paint.

Are you insured?

Yes all of of decorators have public liability insurance which will protect your home and belongings should any accidents happen whilst on the job.

What areas do you cover?
